TOUR PACKAGE COVERAGE - NEW RATES IN EFFECT FROM SEPTEMBER 1, 2002

Eligibility

• Applicants must be covered by Manitoba Health for the entire duration of the coverage term.
• A Tour Package is one which includes all component's of your travel arrangement's including transportation, accomodation, etc.
• Coverage must be purchased prior to the date of departure and/or prior to any cancellation penalty becoming chargeable.
• Failure to provide accurate birthday may invalidate a claim,. Verification of age may be required when submitting a claim.
• NOTE - No extensions or refunds are available.

Risks Covered

• Sickness, bodily injury or death of - you - a member of your immediate family - your business partner - your travelling companion or a member of your travelling companion's immediate family.
• If you are called for jury duty, are quaranantined or are hijacked.
• A fire that renders your principal residence uninhabitable.
• A transfer requiring a move within 30 days of a scheduled departure or return.
• Death or hospitalization of your host at your destination.
• If you are subpoenaed to be a witness at a case scheduled during your trip.
• Involuntary loss of your permanent employment provided that the employment had been with the same employer for more than one year. (A claim must be substantiated by a letter from the employer.)
• Cancellation of your business meeting, as defined, because of sickness, injury or death of the person with whom the meeting had been arranged in advance.
